I designed a summer flat cap that comes from the encounter of balanced proportions and natural materials, conceived for the man who loves to move with spontaneous elegance under the sun. Eight shaped panels flow into a crown with a calibrated volume, enveloping the head without pressure points, while the slightly inclined front brim creates a sharp and protective shadow, designed to shield from direct sunlight without obstructing the view. The linen and cotton blend is chosen for its ability to ensure breathability and dryness: linen regulates air circulation and keeps the skin cool, cotton reinforces the weave, ensures a soft touch, and helps maintain the shape over time, reducing unwanted creases and deformations. Inside, I applied a breathable tape that gently absorbs moisture, prevents irritation, and ensures a stable fit, while the regular stitching, done with durable thread, highlights the precision of Italian craftsmanship and guarantees resistance to daily use. Every detail—from the proportion between the crown and the brim, to the regularity of the seam lines, to the internal finishes—reflects a measured artisanal gesture, aimed at combining comfort, protection, and lightness in a single accessory. I studied a balance between form and function that makes it versatile: in the city, it discreetly complements an informal-chic outfit, pairing with linen shirts, deconstructed jackets, and light trousers; when traveling, it proves to be a practical and foldable companion, capable of regaining its shape with a gesture; in leisure time, it enhances moments of outdoor relaxation, from strolls along the coast to aperitifs on the terrace.
